Pros of Concrete Septic Tanks

Image of a septic tank being installed
  1. Long Lasting
  2. One of the main features that make this type of septic tank popular is it's durability. Unlike other types of septic tanks, particularly the plastic variety, concrete tanks are made from a strong material that can last for decades, especially if properly maintained. Due to the heavy weight of this tank, you can be sure that it will not float or shift easily, a problem that is common with plastic or fiberglass varieties.
  3. Hassle-free Permit Application
  4. Another important benefit of using this type of septic tank is that you will not have any problem when applying for a construction permit. This type of septic tank is approved for use in most, if not all, cities and localities in the U.S.
  5. Resistant to Damage from Heavy Machinery
  6. As mentioned earlier, this tank is quite sturdy. You do not have to worry about damaging a concrete tank with heavy machinery while you are installing one. Furthermore, even if you bury this tank in a shallow hole, you can still be sure that most heavy equipment used in homes will not be able to easily puncture this type of tank.
  7. Built to Contain Large Volumes of Wastes
  8. If you have a big family or you are constructing a commercial establishment, a concrete tank is more preferable becuase it can store and contain bigger amounts of wastes.

About Us

Our History

Before Concrete was a Thought

Tim McMillian started his dream of owning his own business back in the early 1980’s. He worked various jobs until he started working in the in the oilfield. In 1982, Tim and Liz decided to go into a partnership in the Roustabout business. Unfortunately, 6 months later the price of oil dropped dramatically and they went out of business.

From Concrete Worker to Business Owner

In 1984, Tim started working for Dublin Cement Products. 10 years later in 1994, Tim and Liz started dreaming of opening their own concrete business. From 1994 to 1998, Tim started working out of his backyard, buying equipment, property, and building his first concrete form for a septic tank. He poured his first septic tank in his backyard in 1998. Shortly after that, with no help from a bank and using only his own money, Tim opened the doors to Tim’s Concrete Products on June 15th, 1998.

Tim’s Concrete Products Today

Tim’s Concrete Products is a family business, not a careless corporation. For example, after the first year Tim’s daughter suffered a severe brain injury from a vehicle wreck. This put a tremendous toll on the business. However, Tim’s two sons stayed home and took care of the business while Tim stuck by his daughter’s side in the hospital.

After working through many ups and downs, Tim’s Concrete Products has been in business for over 19 years strong. The company has continuously demonstrated its commitment to customer service and quality products. Give us a call and allow us to help you with your concrete needs. We’ll treat you like family, and you won’t be disappointed.
